The Senior IT Administrator will be responsible for the configuration, implementation, and maintenance of various technologies managed by the Information Technology department. This person will focus on the administration of network infrastructure to include desktop PC’s, servers, network equipment, and software applications.
Relationships
- Works under the direction of the VP General Manager and Controller.
- This position requires excellent customer service and organizational skills to support administrative personnel, department supervisors, staff, and business partners.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Assists in the planning, design, documentation, and implementation of various systems to include desktop PC’s, servers, network equipment, and software applications.
- Monitors and maintains the use of the photocopiers, printers and wireless technology (blackberry and cellphone).
- Works with a third-party provider to ensure that the server is properly backed up.
- Monitors, plans, and coordinates the distribution of client/server software and service packs.
- Recommends new equipment and services to purchase and works with various vendors for procurement.
- Performs on-site and remote technical support including weekends and weeknights.
- Assists in the organization and inventory of all hardware and software resources.
- Creates and maintains good technical documentation.
- Provides emergency on-call support on a rotating schedule.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
